The Broad Perspectives project aimed to improve the overall quality and impact of youth work and youth organizations by focusing on conflict prevention, resolution, and transformation. The project started from discussions with our partners about the complex nature of conflicts within youth work and their organizations. We recognized that these conflicts carry challenges faced by individuals, whether they are internal struggles or interpersonal issues, for which they turn to youth workers for support. Additionally, there are organizational conflicts involving disagreements that youth workers may feel ill-equipped to handle due to a lack of skills and resources. Through this initiative, we wanted to equip youth workers from our 11 participating organizations with the necessary skills and resources to effectively address internal and external conflicts, learn about various inclusive practices, and support young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities. We wanted to create a collaborative platform for knowledge-sharing and capacity-building, and so we created the project to promote social cohesion, intercultural understanding, and democratic values while enabling youth workers and organizations to refine their methodologies, share them, and improve their engagement with diverse communities. The project objectives were generally met and additionally, we created results beyond the ones we initially planned (a Booklet summarizing the local events from the partner's countries shared online). The project took the form of a Seminar, a component of a Professional Development Activity, where our goal was to empower 32 youth workers from 11 youth organizations to refine their approaches when working with young people with fewer opportunities (YPFO). All organizations and professionals organized activities and workshops for each other, bringing tools and methods related to conflict transformation and inclusion. The purpose of this method exchange was for the youth organizations to fine-tune their methodology of conflict transformation and encourage networking and cross-agency collaboration between partners. Through the 11 workshops for youth workers in the local communities, we increase the overall quality and capacity of youth workers. The youth workers learn from one another, exchange good practices, and create new initiatives, both locally and internationally. Ultimately, we viewed this project as more than just addressing the daily challenges of youth work; it also contributed to building a more inclusive society. Through the 11 local workshops, youngsters try out an experiential way to express themselves and build confidence, while encouraging teamwork and conflict resolution. Through the project, we impacted various levels of youth work, benefiting participating organizations, the youth workers themselves, the youngsters, and their communities. The Doodle Toolkit initiative played a key role in this positive impact, supporting individual participants while also strengthening entire organizations. It provided youth workers with a work reference, serving as a guide for others across Europe to learn effective methods and practical activities for implementation. Its impact spreads across other EU partners and EU stakeholders and serves as a source of inspiration for working with young people. We recognize conflicts as opportunities for personal and collective growth, and when approached constructively, these conflicts can lead to meaningful dialogue, democracy, and growth. The objectives were: - To bring together 11 organizations with diverse approaches to conflict (prevention, resolution, and management) to facilitate the exchange of best practices and expertise, increasing their capacity for working with YPFO (youth with fewer opportunities) and improving internal organizational practices. - To encourage youth organizations to reach the next level in their quality standards by integrating various conflict prevention and resolution tools and methods. - To increase the quality of 11 youth organizations in their approach to conflict, adding value to their overall work. - To create an opportunity for networking and collaboration among the 11 participating organizations, establishing a supportive community of youth workers and stakeholders. - To ensure ongoing evaluation and learning throughout the project's duration via evaluation forms and Youth Passes. - To disseminate project outcomes by creating a customized Doodle Toolkit (DTK) containing diverse conflict resolution methods, tools, and activities presented by the participating organizations, making it accessible to a wide range of organizations. - To conduct 11 workshops (one per organization) for their youth workers and 11 workshops (one per organization) for YPFO.
