The main aim of this project is to equip the 24 participants to engage in nature interpretation, enabling them to guide groups of young people. In this context, they can draw on the methodological skills in nature- and experience-based learning that they have acquired through the project. The joint project aims to motivate young people to engage in voluntary work within the participating organisations in the long term. This will be achieved through a strengthened sense of identification with their own sending organisation, its projects and objectives, but also through the fact that new friends are also active there. The project aims to enhance participants’ understanding of ecological interrelationships. Furthermore, the project develops participants’ skills in planning and implementing projects, which stimulates their entrepreneurial thinking, which they can then apply in various ways. They acquire methods for non-formal education and expand their ability to collaborate with others, and since this also takes place in an international context, the project also promotes the participants’ intercultural competence.
