The main aim of this project was to develop facilitation skills of youth workers, educators and municipal specialists to be able to ensure a participatory approach in cross-sectorial meetings, create open learning spaces and be able to mainstream youth voices into political debates on local and international levels. To achieve this goal at a maximum level we organized a training course which was targeted to train the facilitators, youth workers, youth representatives, youth specialists from municipal level and develop their skills to be able to not only facilitate various meetings but also be able to mainstream youth voices into political debates on local and international levels. And additionally, we did also organize a second activity which was a study visit with a practice phase, it allowed to practise the gained skill, and experience cooperation of facilitators working in a team, also, this provided an opportunity to show how Norwegian institutions are working and how institutions gain an international dimension to their work. We also had quite a number of objectives: - To explore the current developments in Europe related to youth: sociological trends, political priorities, policies pertaining to youth, Youth Goals 2018, UN strategy "Youth 2030"; - To reflect on differences of roles: youth worker, trainer, facilitator, peer-educator, consultant, representative; - To reflect on how to create empowering learning spaces for youth in libraries, schools and other settings; - To develop an understanding of participatory policy-making and decision-making; - To develop competencies of youth workers/specialists from partner organizations in facilitating and moderating; - To try out different facilitation techniques and plan the personal development path of participants; - To find ways to contribute to youth opinion mainstreaming into debates on the local level in participating countries. We can happily share that all objectives were accomplished and even exceeded: - participants exchanged their contacts for possible future projects - participants improved their current or developed new skills in the field of youthwork and facilitation - participants shared good practices and experiences in a field of youth work - participants got familiar with the programme of Erasmus+, how it works, what is European Youth Dialogue - participants now know what is the difference between youthworker, facilitator, peer-educator, consultant, representative - participants improved their leadership, public speaking, working in a team, critical thinking, moderating skills - participants are now familiar with how does participatory policy-making procesess work - participants shared their experience and techniques of facilitating - participants understood how they can and should bring a youngster and a politician to the same table, and how to become a successful moderator in their discussion
