The youth exchange project “Emotions in Motions” was designed and implemented by organizations from Poland, Latvia, Hungary, Italy, and Lithuania. The initiative took place in Kraków and aimed to create a safe and inspiring environment where young people could strengthen bonds, discover themselves, and explore emotions through dance and movement. The project responded to challenges faced during the pandemic, when isolation increased the need for physical activity, peer contact, and emotional expression. By combining non-formal education methods with dance and movement therapy, the program supported participants in building self-confidence, improving communication, and developing creativity. Main Objectives Strengthening the capacity and international reach of participating organizations Stimulating youth self-development and creativity through dance, body movement, and improvisation Introducing new techniques of mindfulness and mental health support through embodied practices Developing skills in managing emotions and overcoming negative beliefs Specific Objectives Promoting equal opportunities regardless of socio-economic, geographic, or personal circumstances Encouraging pro-social attitudes such as empathy, compassion, and volunteering Facilitating intercultural exchange and mutual understanding among participants Promoting respect for diversity and combating hate speech, racism, and radicalization Through daily workshops, reflection sessions, and cultural evenings, participants actively co-created the program, shared experiences, and learned to transform emotions into positive action. The project contributed to the development of emotional competences, strengthened self-esteem, and supported the broader goals of the Erasmus+ program: intercultural dialogue, inclusion, and prevention of social exclusion.
