Participating in the "You Can Dance Anywhere" project provided us with an opportunity to develop our passion for dance, unleash our sensitivity and expressiveness, build awareness of issues related to equal opportunities and gender equality, and gain unique international experiences. During the youth exchange, each of us found our place on stage, both real and metaphorical. During the youth exchange, we managed to: 1) Create a safe and comfortable project space within which we acquired or developed competencies such as the ability to collaborate in an international group, project and European awareness, and language skills. We acquired knowledge about gender equality and equal opportunities, formed our own opinions on gender equality and equal opportunities, and built attitudes of tolerance and openness to diverse views, sensitivities, upbringings, customs, and cultures. 2) We learned how to use dance as a tool to overcome our own limitations (including shyness, fear of public speaking, and stereotypical thinking), express ourselves, communicate our desired message, and influence the environment and people around us. 3) We established new international relationships, both personal and between our organizations, gained motivation and inspiration for action, and understood how, through project activities, we can influence individuals outside the project group participating in the youth exchange (local, regional, national, and international). In summary, through participation in the "You Can Dance Anywhere" project, we understood the essence of equal opportunities and gender equality, developed our own independent opinions on these issues, learned how to use dance to express ourselves, formulate and promote the message we care about, and overcome our own limitations. We learned how to use dance as a universal language enabling cooperation and communication despite differences in culture, language, and worldview. During our youth exchange, we experienced cultural insights that most of us had never encountered before. This was an incredibly important aspect of our participation in the project, as it allowed us to reach a higher level of project functioning and understanding of the reality around us.
