Objectives

The specter of drug use continues to loom over our youth. Despite stringent bans and regulations in place across most European nations, illicit drug consumption among young individuals remains a persistent concern. Scrutinizing research conducted by the EMCDDA (European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction), disconcerting statistics emerge, particularly within the 15-34 age bracket: 41.4% in Italy, 42% in Spain, 31.6% in Hungary, 10% in Slovakia, 10.3% in Greece, and 19.1% in Poland. This issue is further compounded by the lack of awareness among young people regarding the dire repercussions of drug usage. Traditional educational methods seem inadequate in delivering comprehensive insights, and there exists a dearth of resources guiding youths towards preventive actions against addiction. Hence, the project's core objectives are as follows: - To establish a platform for 42 young individuals to engage in open dialogues about drugs, facilitating the exchange of ideas, experiences, and potential solutions. - To instill awareness among youths regarding the grave consequences of drug use through firsthand narratives. - To champion physical activities like yoga and Zumba as potent tools in combating drug addiction. - To devise innovative games and activities serving as antidotes to addiction. - To enrich the arsenal of resources accessible to NGOs in their crusade against addiction within local communities.
