Objectives

The primary aim of our project was to create an environment where 27 young people from Poland, Portugal, and Spain could exchange experiences, discover commonalities, and collaboratively craft artistic responses to address challenges in their local contexts. From a youth work perspective, our objectives were as follows: Enhancing self-awareness, confidence, and active citizenship. We aimed to empower participants by increasing their self-awareness and confidence through youth-led theatre workshops. This includes recognizing emotions, fears, and desires in a safe environment, developing public speaking and leadership skills, and encouraging active citizenship. Broadening knowledge of different realities and cultures. Through discussions and interactions with peers from diverse backgrounds, participants gain a deeper understanding of different realities and cultures, broadening their horizons and appreciation of diversity. Improving skills in teamwork and self-expression. Collaboratively creating socially engaged performances were to enhance participants' teamwork skills and provide a platform for effective self-expression, allowing them to share ideas and emotions. The project's objective was also to benefit partner organizations by enhancing their capacity for international cooperation. Beyond these outcomes, participants were to carry forward their experiences, sharing their experiences in their local communities to promote positive change and greater engagement in societal matters. The friendships formed during the project were likely to endure, contributing to long-term cross-cultural understanding and cooperation.
