Beyond its role as a unique means of communication, the art of photography has served as a bridge that connects us with others. It has become a tool for expressing thoughts and creating unique bonds with other people. Photography has become a universal language that transcends linguistic and geographical barriers, facilitating intercultural exchange between individuals from different backgrounds. This project, entitled “Perspective of the Moment”, we used photography as a tool and a 'bridge' between the participants and thematically focused on migration policies that are transforming our world and bringing fears to the surface. The project emphasized the need for sensitization and integration efforts. The objectives of the project are as follows: -To promote EU values and the Erasmus+ program. -To encourage participants to organize actions and projects to raise awareness about social issues at local, national and international levels. -Deepen understanding of migration issues, the Dublin Convention and the humanitarian challenges faced by refugees, emphasizing that being a refugee is not a choice but the result of complex economic and social dynamics. -Encouraging the realization that the “other” is not different from us, promoting responsible, community-oriented living and awareness of how individual actions can benefit the whole community. -Recognize, value and celebrate the positive contributions of young people to society. -Create intercultural dialog and explore different perspectives on contemporary social issues. -Develop critical thinking and observation skills using the PhotoVoice Method. -Raise awareness about the PhotoVoice Method, which has many benefits: it can be used with any target group of any age, photography is easy to learn and accessible to everyone, photographs can effectively communicate and share experiences, change perceptions of social and physical environments and serve as effective emotional tools. -Raise awareness about social issues by organizing local events and creating online campaigns. -Overcome language barriers. -Facilitate the discovery and exploration of cultural similarities and differences by developing awareness and empathy for refugees and people from other countries. -Empower participants to express social issues through photography. -Encourage the use of digital media such as Facebook for social purposes by creating a portfolio of photos that become awareness material through visual storytelling. -We provided opportunities for participants to build new friendships and develop connections. This youth exchange aimed to inspire participants to reflect on social issues, develop their empathy and raise awareness while promoting intercultural understanding and creative expression through photography.
