Objectives

Through the implementation of the "Youth Improv(e) – European integration through improvisations" project, we aimed to achieve multi-level educational, social, cultural, and integrative objectives. Our primary intention was to create a space where young people from various European countries could engage in authentic intercultural dialogue and develop the competences necessary in today’s dynamic and unpredictable world. In particular, the project aimed to: The first objective was to support the development of soft skills among the participants. Thanks to theatrical workshops, improvisation exercises, and various educational sessions, young people were able to enhance skills such as creativity, flexibility, assertiveness, teamwork, and the ability to make quick decisions. These activities were designed in such a way that participants could experiment with new forms of self-expression, which in turn boosted their self-confidence and interpersonal abilities. Another important objective was to break down cultural barriers and promote attitudes of openness and tolerance. The project assumed active cooperation among youth from different countries, enabling them to learn about various traditions, ways of thinking, and social perspectives. By jointly defining concepts such as “European integration” and “interculturality,” the participants not only acquired theoretical knowledge but, most importantly, learned how to work together in practice despite cultural differences. This contributed to strengthening the sense of European community and building bridges between diverse societies. An essential aspect of the project’s implementation was also to expand the educational offer of our organization. As the project beneficiary, Fundacja Morze Kultury strengthened its position in managing international mobility projects by implementing innovative methods in working with young people. The project allowed for experimenting with new ways of transferring knowledge, including the use of digital tools and virtual solutions, which is particularly significant in the era of rapid technological change. The introduction of such tools aimed not only at increasing the effectiveness of educational activities but also at making them accessible to participants with fewer opportunities, in line with the principles of social inclusion. The project also had an artistic dimension, which enabled participants to develop their passions and creative talents. Through intensive improvisation workshops, young people had the chance to learn how to tell stories, create impromptu scenarios, and convey emotions through theatrical art. This form of artistic education was not only a tool for personal development but also a way to shape civic attitudes and strengthen creativity, which is crucial in the context of innovation and entrepreneurship. Additionally, the implementation of the project contributed to the development of organizational and management skills both among the participants and within the structure of our organization. During the preparation phase and throughout the youth mobility, participants not only acquired new competences but also took part in planning and evaluation processes, which allowed them to better understand the mechanisms of international projects. As a result, the young people gained valuable experience that they can utilize in further education and in their future professional careers. Ultimately, through the project’s implementation, we aimed to create a lasting impact that went beyond the mobility itself. The project’s outcomes were to be disseminated both within the organization and in its broader environment, with the goal of promoting European values such as solidarity, intercultural dialogue, and active participation in social life. Activities related to disseminating the project results were designed not only to share the acquired knowledge but also to inspire other organizations to undertake similar initiatives. In summary, the project had a multi-dimensional character, with the aim of not only developing young people’s skills in teamwork, creativity, and improvisation, but also in building strong intercultural bonds, strengthening the organization’s position on the international stage, and promoting European values. Thanks to the carefully planned activities and the high level of engagement of all participants, the project contributed to tangible changes at both the individual and institutional levels, forming a foundation for further development of European integration and the cultivation of informed citizenship.
