Objectives

The aim of the "My Plan Your Business" project was to increase the recognition and promotion of social entrepreneurship as an effective tool supporting young people in addressing social and professional challenges. We wanted to demonstrate that social entrepreneurship can create real value both for individuals and local communities – especially in the context of tackling youth unemployment and limited access to formal education in many regions of Europe. The main objectives of the project were: To enhance the competencies of 44 youth workers from 5 partner countries by providing them with knowledge and practical tools to work more effectively with young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities. To promote the concept of social entrepreneurship and equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to create, plan, and develop their own socially oriented startups. To strengthen the capacities of participating organisations in project management, strategic planning, and communication with the private sector and potential investors. To increase awareness and understanding of the Erasmus+ programme and other European tools supporting youth, thereby fostering the creation of partnerships and encouraging active participation in the social and economic life of Europe. To develop and implement innovative methods of non-formal education to be used in daily youth work. As part of the project, participants worked on developing their own business concepts – each prepared an initial draft of a business plan, which was then refined during the mobility and workshops. As a result of these activities, at least 5 complete business plans for social startups were created, which can be further developed and implemented in their local communities.
