As young people living in the Kujawy Nadgoplańskie region, which is threatened by environmental disaster, we wanted to raise our voices on this issue to encourage local decision-makers to take more action in protecting the local environment. To do this, we needed to learn how to engage in discussions with decision-makers. We also wanted to activate our peers to join us so that, together with the decision-makers, we could begin protecting our environment. To be effective in our actions, we had to learn how to work as a team within the framework of volunteering, acquire knowledge about the role of bees, bumblebees, and wildflower meadows in nature, and gain public speaking skills so we wouldn’t feel stressed when speaking in public and presenting our opinions. We also wanted to improve our digital skills to work more efficiently. Additionally, we wanted to learn how to exercise our rights as citizens of democratic Europe, protecting nature.
