Objectives

We implemented our project "STOP the loneliness epidemic" for several important reasons. Our initiative aimed to focus on the growing problem of loneliness among young people and provide effective solutions to counteract this phenomenon. 1. **The problem of loneliness among young people**: We observed the growing problem of loneliness among young people, especially in the context of increased isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This phenomenon had a negative impact on the mental and emotional health of young people, so we considered it a problem that needed to be solved. 2. **The need for preventive action**: Our organization INT has always been involved in projects related to youth issues. We believed that preventive action was of great importance because it helped to avoid the long-term negative effects of social problems such as loneliness. 3. **Personal and social development**: Our goal was not only to understand the deep-rooted causes of loneliness, but also to provide tools and support that helped young people overcome this problem. We wanted to help young people build lasting relationships, improve the quality of their social and emotional lives, and strengthen their ability to cope with difficulties. 4. **Strengthening the community**: The project involved creating safe spaces, discussion panels, and group workshops that allowed young people to share their feelings and experiences and build relationships. This not only helped young people, but also strengthened the community by building interpersonal bonds. 5. **Education and awareness**: The project aimed to raise public awareness of loneliness among young people and its impact on mental and emotional health. By organizing workshops and debates, we tried to contribute to increasing understanding of this problem in society. 6. **Active participation**: We encouraged young people to actively participate in the project and build a community based on mutual support. We wanted young people to have a real impact on shaping the project and its results. The project "STOP the loneliness epidemic" was in line with the priorities defined by the context of the European Union's dialogue with young people and the European Youth Goals, especially in the area of "inclusion, equality and diversity". Our motivation stemmed from the belief that we could make a significant contribution to improving the quality of life of young people and combating loneliness among them. When planning individual activities, we set ourselves several goals: 1.
