Objectives

The main aim of the project Under the Heat was to raise youngsters' awareness and understanding of environmental issues, offering them the opportunity to create change in their local communities. The project promoted informal and non-formal learning and cooperation in the field of youth. The specific objectives of the project were: - To promote sustainability. - To promote sustainable, practical, and impactful solutions. - To teach young people how to refuse, reduce, recycle, and rot. - To promote a transition to a circular economy. - To mitigate climate change and global warming. - To enhance young people’s active citizenship. - To protect human life, animals, and plants by adopting sustainable habits. - To promote a Europe that is climate-neutral and protects its natural habitat for the benefit of people, the planet, and the economy. - To raise awareness of the environmental footprint. - To promote equality, considering that the climate crisis disproportionately affected people living in poverty, increasing inequalities. - To promote the Erasmus+ Programme and its priorities aligned with the European Youth Strategy 2019-2027, the 11 Youth Goals, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). - To support individuals by strengthening their skills and capabilities. The project directly aligned with the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme and Youth Exchanges, particularly the priority of Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change. It also contributed to the priorities of Inclusion and Diversity, Digital Transformation, and Participation in Democratic Life, Common Values, and Civic Engagement. The project intended to provide young participants with the necessary tools to be political agents of change, making sustainable choices in their daily lives, and advocating for a fairer and greener future.
