» IDEA In order to help make the education system (formal and non-formal) increasingly inclusive and egalitarian, we started from the recognition that it is essential to discuss the main difficulties faced by education and point out solutions that can contribute to improving the education system and training active citizens, aware of their potential and prepared to face the challenges that life brings them, regardless of their vulnerabilities. To do this, we brought together youth workers from 9 European countries, who came together to reflect on the state of the education system and propose solutions. This project offered the youth workers who accompany these young people an opportunity to develop their skills and deepen their knowledge of quality methods and methodologies that they can apply in their daily work context. The ultimate goal was to train them to be educational agents capable of making a positive difference in the lives of young people, particularly those with vulnerabilities. To this end, we worked specifically on non-formal education (NFE) and “Trauma Informed Education and Care”, exploring learning tools/strategies tailored to the individuality of each young person. » OBJECTIVES General objective: to combat educational inequality in order to boost the inclusion of young people. Specific objectives: » To make technicians aware of the impact that traumatic experiences, vulnerabilities and specific challenges have on young people's lives, including in terms of education; » Empower staff with new working methodologies, including those centered on the individuality of each young person; » Strengthening interdisciplinary cooperation for increasingly inclusive education.
