The main part of the project "Go green, make art" took place from 12 to 17 June 2024. The mobility brought together 28 young people from 4 countries and NGOs: Romania (Atelierul European de Arta), Lithuania (Tavo Europa), Spain (Aktive Kosmos) and France (En Root). The aim was to teach young people how to become more environmentally responsible, using a set of non-formal activities and methods. We aimed to raise young people's awareness of the importance of the subject of this project and also wanted to connect the idea of green, ecology, with art. This latter intention came as a result of the fact that young people felt that an ecological behavior could not align with their daily actions and interests, that they did not find a connection between art and green life. We managed to find a way to stimulate their creativity and show them that they can practice their passions while being environmentally responsible. In addition, by doing this, they learned how make some beautiful objects with their hands in the process. The objectives of our project were the following: - to help the 28 young people implement 3 main actions that support environmental protection and to ensure that they will continue to practice these habits in the long term in their daily lives. - to help the 28 young people become aware of 3 harmful consequences that unsustainable behavior has on the environment, both in their own lives and in the lives of others. - to help the 28 young people learn how to connect art with ecological behavior, using a non-formal education method and practical workshops on creating jewelry from reused wood.
