The 'ImmorTRIBE' activity was designed to promote creativity, sense of agency and self-expression among participants through practices of art. Further, the youth workers mobility program worked with various conceptions of community, emphasizing its role in healthy societies, underlining art and culture as connective tissue for connecting people through their values and shared goals and shared humanity. In our modern world of constant information and constant movement, the need for solid foundations of our lives has never been more visible. Writers, artists and contemplatives throughout the centuries have emphasized this psychological truth, now increasingly recognized by modern neuroscience and cognitive science. This idea formed the very core of the ImmorTRIBE activity. In tandem, various additional objectives were addressed by this training: Primarily, the objective was to address significant mental health and wellbeing concerns among young people, in line with European Youth Goals. The project highlighted the importance of mindfulness and creativity as tools for enhancing mental health, providing substantial physical, mental, and emotional benefits. Participants reported improved mental wellbeing and a greater awareness of the importance of maintaining mental health. Another goal was to introduce creative practices to youth workers and educators using diverse tools, making these practices accessible and applicable to younger generations in Western culture. The activity successfully conveyed that poetry, embodiment and theater are all ways of cultivating wiser inner lives through deeper attentiveness to experience and expression as a way of sharing beauty and understanding. Participants embraced the creative techniques and expressed a desire to integrate these practices into their personal and professional lives. The project aimed to provide solutions to common issues faced by Generation Z, such as shorter attention spans, technology dependency, anxiety, and stress. Mindfulness and creativity practices, including meditation and observation, writing, drawing and performing, among others, were utilized to improve concentration. Feedback indicated that participants experienced reduced stress, enhanced focus, and a deepened understanding of their cares, affirming the effectiveness of mindfulness and creativity in addressing these challenges. Another objective of the training was enhancing communication, empathy, and listening skills among the participants. Sessions focused on taking uninterrupted space to share their creative work, their inner processes and gratitude, while the rest of the group was invited to listen and perceive attentively. Participants reported better interpersonal relationships and a deepened ability to take, give and share conversational space, understanding of effective communication and empathy, which are crucial skills for educators and youth workers. Promoting eco-conscious behaviors and a deeper connection to nature through creative practices was another goal. Activities conducted in natural settings aimed to strengthen the connection between body, mind, and the environment. Participants engaged in art, poetry, and observation exercises, leading to a heightened sense of environmental awareness and appreciation. The project addressed the need for mental space and inner security, as foundations for meaningful relationships that form the structure of any well functioning community. The participants reported an increased understanding of the need for self-examination, clarity of mind as foundations for their social work and their participation in their communities. The project aimed to equip participants with skills in fostering creativity and self-expression among young people. Training sessions provided practical skills and methodologies, which were compiled into a digital booklet, serving as a comprehensive educational resource for future use.
