Our main objectives were to: • Provide young women with safe spaces for healing, empowerment, and self-expression. • Strengthen the skills of youth workers in trauma-informed and inclusive practices. • Raise awareness in local communities and across Europe about domestic violence and the importance of prevention and support. • Create practical tools (Toolkit and Best Practices collection) that can be used by youth organisations and educators beyond the project’s duration. • Build sustainable European partnerships committed to combating gender-based violence and supporting vulnerable groups.
We applied for this project to respond to the urgent need to address domestic violence and its long-lasting effects on young women. Across our partner countries, many young women face stigma, silence, and limited access to support. Youth workers also needed better tools and knowledge to provide trauma-informed care. The project aimed to break this silence, empower young women to express themselves safely, and strengthen the capacity of youth workers and NGOs to support survivors.
