Objectives

Through the implementation of the project, we set out to achieve the following key objectives: 1.Developing skills for young people with special needs:Over the 12-month project, we focused on improving the motor, musical, and coordination skills of 30 young individuals with special needs through an innovative approach that combines dance and the use of percussion musical instruments. 2.Promoting social inclusion:We aimed to integrate these young people into cultural and artistic activities to reduce discrimination and encourage equality and diversity within the community. 3.Creating a Digital Video Guide:We developed an educational guide for music and dance teachers and instructors, providing practical methods and resources to support inclusive education for young people with special needs. 4.International collaboration and exchange of best practices: Through partnerships with organizations from Romania, Serbia, and Ireland, we facilitated experience sharing and developed innovative educational methods to enhance inclusion in arts and education. Through this project, we sought to ensure equal artistic and social opportunities, foster international collaboration in inclusive education, and promote a more accessible society.

Background

We applied for this project to support young people with special needs through inclusive music and dance education, aiming to combat marginalization and ensure equal artistic and social opportunities. Addressed Needs: 1.Lack of access to adapted artistic activities – Many young individuals with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and motor coordination difficulties do not have adequate opportunities to learn music and dance in a way that suits their needs. 2.Social exclusion and discrimination – These young people face marginalization and difficulties in integrating into the community due to the lack of initiatives that facilitate their participation in shared activities. 3.Lack of specialized educational resources – Teachers and instructors do not have adapted methods to effectively work with young people with special needs, limiting their development. 4.Lack of international exchange of best practices – Educational organizations have few opportunities to collaborate internationally to develop innovative and inclusive methods. Through this project, we sought to bridge these gaps by offering inclusive education, fostering social integration, and providing accessible resources, promoting a more equitable society.
