The project aimed to implement the EU Dialogue with Young People at both national and local levels, ensuring that young people’s opinions influenced the creation and improvement of youth policies across European countries. The consultation process was designed to empower young people, strengthen youth policy structures, and encourage participatory decision-making focusing on the local level. As part of the project, local coordinators were trained and networked, enabling them to facilitate dialogues between young people and decision-makers in five local self-government units (Vladicin Han, Bor, Zrenjanin, Subotica, and Novi Pazar). These dialogues identified key challenges, formulated policy recommendations, and engaged youth and local authorities. Young people were also consulted on the Objectives of the 10th cycle of the EU Youth Dialogue, ensuring their voices were reflected in European youth policies. The project strengthened key youth policy actors, including student parliaments, youth associations, and decision-makers, connecting them and equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement EU Dialogue locally. Through structured consultation processes, young people advocated for change in their communities. All the groups identified spaces for improvement in their local communities and successfully implemented their activities. All recommendations from local dialogues were forwarded to the Permanent Expert Team (National Working Group), which guided them through the EU Dialogue Youth Conference, ensuring their integration at the European level. Additionally, the project improved the functioning of youth associations and decision-makers in the field of youth policy and ensured that all relevant stakeholders were informed about the EU Dialogue and the work of local coordinators.
