The RE4YOU.COM project aimed to empower young people by equipping them with the skills to become successful e-entrepreneurs while promoting environmental sustainability. Specifically, we wanted to teach youth how to create innovative products from waste materials and guide them in marketing these products through social media and e-commerce platforms. Our objectives included increasing digital and entrepreneurial competencies, encouraging environmentally friendly business practices, and supporting disadvantaged youth in gaining economic independence. We also aimed to build a strong transnational network to disseminate the project results and provide educators and youth workers with practical tools. Ultimately, we sought to raise awareness about circular economy practices while boosting youth employability and creativity through accessible and inclusive learning opportunities.
The RE4YOU.COM project was developed to address the rising need for sustainable youth entrepreneurship and to tackle youth unemployment through innovative, eco-friendly practices. We observed that many young people, particularly those disadvantaged or unemployed, lack access to training on e-commerce and social media-based entrepreneurship. At the same time, growing environmental concerns and the EU’s Green Deal priorities emphasise the importance of recycling and sustainable production. By combining these two needs—youth employability and ecological sustainability—we aim to empower young people to create marketable products from recyclable materials and promote them via digital platforms. The project also responds to the lack of structured, accessible resources on social commerce. Through hands-on workshops, online training, and video tutorials, young people will acquire skills in recycling, product development, and e-entrepreneurship, helping them gain economic independence while contributing to climate action.
