Objectives

Our Erasmus+ KA152 project, international youth mobility, entitled Connecting Roma Bridges, included and connected 36 participants in an 8 day program with activities in Slovenia. Most of the participants are Roma with fewer opportunities, who come from two EU program countries: Croatia and Slovenia. Through various activities, we enabled quality leisure time and promoted social inclusion and interculturality. In the project application, we set goals that we achieved through high-quality execution and implementation of the project. By carrying out the project contents of informal learning, socializing and guided workshops with mentors for young people with fewer opportunities, we wanted to enable the acquisition of new experiences, role models and knowledge and to get to know young women and members of the Roma community in other European countries or regions, and indirectly encourage motivation for inclusion in social life and especially in educational processes, with the aim of reducing school enrollment dropout, interculturality and intergenerational solidarity, active citizenship and getting to know the different cultures belonging to and belonging to the Roma community in EU countries. We paid special attention to encouraging the use of quality and healthy free time and socialization of young people and personal conversations with the participants regarding various life topics that are interesting to them. The project represents the continuation of the cooperation of partner organizations from both partner countries, which have already participated in a similar international youth exchange in the past. The interest of young participants and heads of organizations remains high for reunions and collaborations. Objectives of the project: - strengthen the inclusion of youth Roma in all social processes - knowledge of the EU, the rights of citizens and minorities - raise the importance of education and the motivation to get a job - encouraging a constructive confrontation with discrimination and prejudice in society - recognizing emotions and reacting to different life situations - to acquaint participants with the art and craft of creating film and media content -Improvisational theater and role-playing for easier coping with different life situations - to enable the participants to exercise more in the fresh air and thereby demonstrate a healthy life - impart knowledge on the identification and processing of medicinal herbs, present them with the possibility of organic farming, conservation environment and biodiversity conservation - enable learning about Roma culture, customs, costumes, dances and traditions in other European countries - reduction of digital addiction - raising awareness of the danger of abuse of psychoactive substances - strengthening international partnerships by exchanging good practices in youth work with vulnerable groups - development of competences of youth workers and leaders - encourage long-term cooperation of partner organizations.
