With the implementation of the project "Break Gender Roles", we primarily wanted to highlight the inequality between genders, discrimination and stereotypes about them. Unfortunately, there are still people who believe that men are the stronger sex and women are weaker. They believe in stereotypes from the past between the sexes and do not believe in gender equality. And it is very difficult to convince these people or a society that is of such an opinion to the contrary or to think correctly and positively in this area. Gender stereotypes are a key cause of inequality between women and men and, unfortunately, we still encounter them today. But we still take them for granted, and as a result, our behavior is the same. We encounter them at every step and every day. All these stereotypes, discrimination and gender inequality, affect our everyday lives. However, we all have an important role to play in eliminating stereotypes, discrimination and inequality, and only we are the ones who can contribute at least a little to eliminating this problem of today's society. Everyone needs to be aware of what is right and think in a different way so that we can come up with changes and solutions when we talk about this pressing problem. Through various workshops, discussions and activities that took place in the way of non-formal learning and its working methods, young people in this area gained opportunities to bring about changes and solutions in this area, how to eliminate discrimination, how to abandon stereotypes from the past and find solutions to achieve gender equality. The intention was to make them aware of the importance of this topic, to find solutions, to think critically, to acquire new knowledge, experience and skills, and to acquire new competencies important for their personal development. The objectives of the project were as follows: - exploring the position of both sexes in EU countries, - the use of non-formal forms of learning, - Acquisition of knowledge and skills on the topic of the project, - learning about new cultures, customs and traditions, - raising awareness of the importance of respecting women's rights, - Raising awareness of equality/gender equality; - raising awareness against gender-based violence, - raising awareness of discrimination and breaking stereotypes, - acquire new competencies and improve personal development, - improve communication skills, - present the importance of teamwork, - present the project and the idea of the Erasmus+ program.
