With the project "Modern Changemakers," we addressed the field of entrepreneurship within the framework of sustainable development and the green economy. We introduced young participants to a concept of entrepreneurship that meets the current needs without jeopardizing the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. They learned that this involves the coexistence of three key pillars: economic development, environmental protection, and social responsibility. We enabled participants to acquire certain business skills and a mindset focused on sustainable development through various informal education activities, helping them become more competitive in the labor market, especially at the point of entry. We encouraged them to discover and develop business ideas related to sustainable development and the green economy. They also learned about successful companies in this field. We equipped young participants with knowledge for their first business steps. In doing so, we largely responded to the needs of the young participants, who expressed a desire for a project that would address entrepreneurship in connection with the green transition. The main goal set by us as partners in this project was to combat youth unemployment in the EU. An important goal was also to encourage and prepare young participants to bring new ideas for solving specific problems into their local communities after the project’s conclusion, contributing to the creation of positive change. Another important long-term goal was to foster the growth of some young companies based on this project, which will make significant contributions to sustainable development and the green economy in the partner countries and more broadly in the EU in the coming years.
