Objectives

Through this project, we aimed to transform young people's perception of rural life, increase their participation in sustainable development processes, and promote intercultural learning through the lens of rural experience. Our primary goal was to help young people see rural areas not merely as traditional living spaces, but as regions full of potential in terms of economic, environmental, and social opportunities. The objectives of our project were structured to serve this overarching aim: 1.Raising Awareness of Rural Life: To help participants understand the role of rural areas in natural resource management, food production, and climate-conscious lifestyles. 2.Introducing Employment and Entrepreneurship Opportunities: To expose youth to sustainable business models and local entrepreneurship in rural areas, supporting their personal career development. 3.Building Social and Cultural Connections: To strengthen cultural awareness and social empathy by facilitating direct interaction between participants and local rural communities. 4.Fostering Social Skills: To provide experiential learning opportunities in teamwork, communication, leadership, and problem-solving. 5.Enhancing Environmental Sensitivity: To encourage eco-friendly thinking through nature walks, environmental workshops, and hands-on observation of rural ecosystems. 6.Promoting Civic Participation: To support young people in becoming more active in their communities and engaged in local decision-making processes. 7.Developing a Global Perspective: To foster intercultural dialogue and collaboration by bringing together young people from different countries. In line with these goals, the project not only aimed to equip young people with knowledge but also to empower them as active, conscious, and responsible individuals who can contribute to sustainable change in their own communities.
