The primary objective of our project was to enhance youth awareness and preparedness regarding climate change and natural disasters. By fostering active participation, capacity building, and international collaboration, we aimed to equip young people and youth workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to address these global challenges effectively. We sought to increase the awareness level of young participants on the impacts of climate change and the importance of preparedness for natural disasters. Through presentations, workshops, and discussions led by experts from various countries, participants gained a deeper understanding of these critical issues. Before the project activities, the participants were asked to find articles on the subject. This not only enabled the participants to understand and gain knowledge about the project topic, but also the articles we collected could be used as a basis for the project results we created. Engaging youth actively in discussions and activities related to environmental challenges was a central focus of the project. Interactive sessions such as role-plays, group work, and hands-on workshops were designed to encourage participants to contribute their perspectives and ideas. This approach ensured that young people were not just passive recipients of information but active contributors to the learning process. Additionally, we aimed to enhance the capacity of youth workers to effectively engage with young people on environmental issues. Training sessions were held to improve their skills in communication, project planning, and workshop facilitation, enabling them to support youth in their communities more effectively. On a local level, participants were encouraged to implement what they learned in their communities, fostering a ripple effect of awareness and preparedness. Internationally, the project brought together youth and youth workers from multiple countries, including Türkiye, Ukraine, Lebanon, Egypt, Bulgaria, and Belgium. This collaboration allowed for the sharing of diverse experiences and strategies, enriching the overall learning experience. By promoting international cooperation and cultural exchange, the project helped participants understand the universal nature of climate challenges and the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing them. The project culminated in the creation of practical tools and resources, such as local project ideas, social media action plans on climate crisis, a booklet summarizing the project's outcomes. These outputs started to published among participants, stakeholders, and the wider community to ensure the project's impact extended beyond its duration. Through educational sessions, interactive workshops, community engagement, and cultural exchange, we successfully raised environmental awareness and preparedness among youth, strengthened the capacity of youth workers, and enhanced international cooperation on climate-related topics.
