While our project, titled "DigiTeachers," has many objectives, its most general aim is to offer young participants involved in youth work, who will shape the future, a comprehensive, eye-opening, and educational experience at the European level on digitalization, one of the most central topics of our era. In this context, the İHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, which serves as the project coordinator and includes a special department for youth, has specifically aimed to develop the awareness of teacher-candidate students active in youth work regarding the use of digital tools and to promote the dissemination of these tools and digital methods. With a participant group selected from future teachers, İHH also aimed to create a space where they could actively contemplate and learn how to integrate digital transformation into their professions. In addition to contributing to equal opportunity in technological development and progress by including disadvantaged students from various backgrounds, the project also sought to provide an opportunity for young Turkish citizens, who are not members of the European Union, to engage in cultural exchange with European youth, experience a European city, and gain insight into European values. Furthermore, our partner organizations and project beneficiaries, EuroActiva and InPlanet, planned to achieve benefits through this project, such as participating in a European-level Erasmus+ project, increasing their capacity, contributing to their participants' cultural exchange, and building awareness among their participants regarding digital transformation. Finally, the project aimed to contribute to the personal and professional development of the young participants from each institution. While visits and workshops on digital education catered to teacher candidates, tours and workshops on technological innovation, entrepreneurship, digitalization in humanitarian aid, and the role of digitalization in youth work were organized inclusively to address other professional groups, aiming to encourage participants in these fields. Within the scope of the project, the interaction of participants with different cultures provided an opportunity to improve their social and communication skills, enhance their language acquisition, and strengthen their personal networks.
