Objectives

The RAY-MON Report indicates that the Youthpass certificate has low recognition and is not sufficiently recognized by official institutions. Therefore, there is a need to increase awareness efforts to enhance the usage and evaluation of the certificate by young people and youth workers. The report also presents statistics on the use of Youthpass and its integration in projects. Most project leaders have opted to use Youthpass in their projects and have encouraged participants to obtain this certification. The majority of participants have stated that the Youthpass document helps increase their awareness of their developments in the projects. A significant portion of participants with the Youthpass certificate believe that it is beneficial in areas such as job opportunities, internships, or education. The use of this certificate is more pronounced in older age groups. In conclusion, this project aims to explore the recognition of the Youthpass certificate in collaboration with youth work practitioners and to develop practical approaches that better support young people in obtaining the certificate. The goal is to enhance knowledge, behavior, and attitudes regarding recognition and assessment in the youth field. Enhancing Recognition of Non-Formal Learning: Objective: The project aims to improve the acknowledgment and validation of non-formal learning experiences among young individuals. Rationale: By enhancing the recognition of non-formal learning, youth work practitioners intend to ensure that the skills and knowledge acquired through non-formal experiences are valued and acknowledged by educational institutions and employers. Empowering Youth Workers: Objective: The project aims to equip youth workers with comprehensive knowledge and skills to effectively guide and support young people in documenting and utilizing their non-formal learning experiences, especially through tools like Youthpass. Rationale: Empowered youth workers can better assist young individuals in articulating their non-formal learning experiences, aiding them in future education pursuits, employment opportunities, and personal development. Facilitating Youth Transition to Further Education and Employment: Objective: The project strives to support young people in utilizing their documented non-formal learning experiences to seamlessly transition into higher education or employment pathways. Rationale: By facilitating a smoother transition for youth, the project contributes to their successful integration into educational and career opportunities, fostering their overall growth and development. Strengthening Collaboration with Local Youth Organizations: Objective: The project seeks to enhance collaboration and communication between the project team and local youth organizations, ensuring a more holistic approach to reaching and assisting young individuals. Rationale: Collaborating with local youth organizations ensures a wider reach and engagement with the youth community, enabling a collective effort to support young people in recognizing and utilizing their non-formal learning experiences effectively. Promoting Lifelong Learning and Personal Growth: Objective: The project aims to instill a culture of lifelong learning among young people, encouraging them to continuously engage in non-formal learning experiences for personal and professional growth. Rationale: Fostering a love for learning throughout life promotes ongoing personal development and prepares young individuals to adapt to evolving educational and work environments effectively. By achieving these objectives, the project endeavors to enrich the youth work practice by empowering both youth workers and young individuals, ultimately contributing to a more informed, skilled, and adaptable youth population ready to face the challenges and opportunities of the future.
