STEP UP YOUTH WORK addresses two main aspects: promoting learning mobility of project managers, youth workers, youth leaders and trainers with disadvantaged backgrounds who are enthusiastic to develop their project management skills, and increasing the acquisition and recognition of skills. 2023 and 2024 are the European Years of Skills. Given the European educational context, and more specifically the context of lifelong learning, the need for continuous development of skills and competencies for young people is vital. One way to achieve this goal is to offer learning opportunities to young people.Youth workers project managers, trainers, youth leaders provide non-formal learning support and guidance to young people. They also promote lifelong learning and continuing education. So they need to give particular importance to their development in the field. The topic adresed by STEP UP YOUTH WORK are: - New learning and teaching methods and approaches - Quality and innovation of youth work - Key competences development "Step Up Youth Work" (SUYW) aims to improve youth workers/leaders', project managers' and trainers' Project management skills, thus responding to high demand for qualified and confident staff and volunteers who can implement successful E+ projects at local level through non-formal learning. This will really make a difference in their communities & develop their competencies in planning, implementing, monitoring and assessing the quality oftheir project. This will encourage participants, afiliated to educational institutions who are running nonformal activities and NGOs to share insights and best practices regarding E+ activities, thereby broadening the understanding of practices, policies and systems in youth work (YW) activities across countries and fostering more collaboration at a European level within the framework of E+, among different organizations who have the same objectives. This is also necessary to increase capacity and to trigger changes in terms of modernization and internationalism and to find reliable partners for possible future collaboration. SUYW aims to develop "Project Management Competencies in YW" by using the Council of Europe YW Portfolio https://www.coe.int/en/web/youth-portfolio). SUYW promotes mutual understanding among participants from different countries by focusing on the personal development competencies, abilities and attitudes that transfer those knowledge and implement in everyday work with young people to emerge as young leaders in their communities in order to respond to the challenges faced by their communities locally. At the same time, participants will address their responsibilities as citizens through their professional life, association life and activities they organize through EU networks. The project aims to contribute to developing the quality of support systems for youth activities and the capabilities of public and civil society organizations in the youth field through new competencies, abilities and attitudes of participants at preparation phase, during the training course and by creating the context for further development and multiplier effect at local and European level. Integrating a variety of constantly evolving youth engagement strategies into the project and into our operations will require adequate support, opportunities and services to enable participants from diverse backgrounds to participate meaningfully and fairly in decision-making and leadership roles. Two of these key strategies are: -Youth focused problem identification -Youth perspectives in program design, planning & implementation With the Erasmus+ Project "Step Up Youth Work", partner organizations will explore the concepts of creativity and innovation in Youth Work. Our project supports many national and European educational values, is directly based on youth work, fosters and facilitates youth projects and cannot be successful without the active role of youth workers in youth activities. Most of the events in the content are innovative Youth events, non-formal education methods and facilitators were also involved in our events. It will create a deep interest among youth workers. The tools and techniques we can offer to the partners will contribute to the project and partners in line with their experience. Another spark of innovation is the number of youth workers in the project. Despite limited number of activities, the project will facilitate the participation of 32 project managers, youth workers, youth leaders and trainers in a European context. The project focuses not only on the participants, but also on governmental and non-governmental organizations' communities in implementing better projects though the training of the participants. All of the partners know each other from the projects they carried out together in the past or the SALTO, National Agency trainings they participated.
