Through the implementation of the project, we aimed to address various topics that we consider highly relevant for young people, such as climate change, sustainable and environmentally friendly practices, interreligious and intercultural dialogue, and equal rights for all ethnicities. Our goal was to provide young participants with an international learning experience in a safe and friendly environment. Based on our many years of experience, we are strongly convinced that Erasmus+ projects are highly beneficial for young people, as the activities implemented encourage their active participation and offer valuable non-formal learning opportunities that help them develop and strengthen their skills and competences on multiple levels. Our projects especially encourage young people to step out of their comfort zones, participate in programs alongside peers who are initially unfamiliar to them, and develop both their personal and professional skills. The main objectives not related to the project topic were: - Raised respect and acceptance towards the differences. - Improved foreign language and mother tongue skills. - Gained and/or raised knowledge about other people’s cultures, traditions, and customs. - Improved creative, musical and/or sport abilities. - Gained and/or improved knowledge on the topic of the project. - Gained and/or improved awareness for the personal and common responsibility. - Raised awareness about the importance of the global aspect of the present problematic. - Raised capacity of critical thinking about the information received in media, especially in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, blogs ...). - Raised awareness about the importance of the solidarity and its diverse possible forms. - Gain the motivation to live sustainably every day. We organized the youth exchange "Green Goals" because we wanted to explore the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed upon by the United Nations in 2015. We felt that they offer a strong and useful framework for understanding and teaching about current global challenges and potential solutions. It was important to us to share them with young people from different countries, including non-European ones. We firmly believe that the topics addressed by the SDGs are among the most essential issues for Europe and the rest of the world. Teaching young people about these challenges, making the topics relevant to their everyday lives, and inspiring their motivation to create change are all crucial for ensuring a better future. Our main goal was to raise awareness and spread knowledge about the 17 SDGs while keeping the learning process fun and avoiding excessive theory. The aim of the project “Forum Slovenicum & Co.” was to bring together young members of different European minorities and to promote exchange between young people. This should encourage young people to get to know minorities from other countries, to think outside the box and to discover different perspectives. The exchange should give them the opportunity to deal with their own minority and research their past, as well as to discuss the problems and future of minorities with other young people. The project “The Head, Heart and Hands for Religion” was implemented to bring together young people from different countries and faiths to learn from one another and engage in intercultural and interreligious dialogue. Many conflicts around the world are rooted from a lack of understanding of different religions and cultures, which makes it more difficult for societies to live peacefully and work together toward a better future. The main goal of the project was to learn about different cultures and religions, to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of dialogue and to develop new skills and competences in an informal learning environment. We aimed to promote respect and tolerance for Europe’s diversity, challenge fears and prejudices, and help participants develop the ability to observe and reflect critically. We wanted them to realize that people of different faiths can also enjoy each other’s company. The "One World for one Earth" project was started to address climate change and protect the environment. These problems affect everyone today, but especially young people, because they will have to deal with the long-term consequences. That’s why the project wanted to bring young people together so they could connect and share their experiences. The project included activities to help them learn more about climate change and environmental problems, but the main goal was to inspire and encourage them to take action for a better future. We aimed to make people more aware of issues like pollution, the use of pesticides in farming, and their results — such as rising temperatures, extreme weather, lack of water, and biodiversity loss. We also showed examples of sustainable and eco-friendly living to motivate young people to stay hopeful and take responsibility for protecting the Earth.
