2024-1-AT01-KA151-YOU-0002272782024Mobility of young people for accredited organisationsongoing
Countries: AT · Grant: €13,745

Objectives

The project aimed to strengthen youth work by involving youth workers from NGO organisations in 6 countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Moldova, Kosovo, Romania and Armenia) and equipping them with knowledge and practical experience in social business models that address youth unemployment, social exclusion, and limited opportunities. Our objectives were the following: 1) Increase capacities among participating organisations in embracing innovative strategies in youth work by learning how social enterprises in Armenia (such as IRISBI, Caritas, and Red Cross) as well as local municipality (during the meeting with the Head of the Youth Affairs Department (Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Science and Sports)) create opportunities for vulnerable youth, rural youth and youth with disabilities. The goal was to enhance participants’ capacity to design sustainable solutions, improve employability, and foster inclusion of youth in their own working environments and contexts. 2) Establish sustainable partnerships and networks to enable the exchange of knowledge, resources, and best practices. Through cross-border collaboration, participants strengthened their long-term cooperation with municipalities, NGOs, and private firms, ensuring a wider impact beyond national boundaries. Participants gained understanding of different cultures and approaches, exchanged contacts and took inspiration and best practices in each other's approach. By achieving these objectives, the project directly contributed to enhancing skills and innovation of youth work practices among participating organisations, building international cooperation - also beyond EU borders, and creating sustainable and efficient responses to pressing challenges faced by marginalised young people.
