A central objective of the mobilities carried out under the Erasmus+ accreditation in the 2024 budget request was to provide young people in Vorarlberg with access to international, non-formal learning opportunities, regardless of their origin, educational background, or social status. Particular attention was given to enabling the active participation of young people with fewer opportunities through targeted inclusive measures. Efforts were made to support individual learning processes, promote empowerment, and reduce barriers, such as economic or organisational obstacles, wherever possible. In addition, together with our partner organisations, we aimed to sustainably strengthen the quality of international youth work in the region. Through the youth exchanges and staff mobilities implemented within the annual budget, professionals and organisations from open and associative youth work, youth information services, and related fields were able to gain valuable practical experience in a European context and deepen their competences in non-formal education. Another key concern was to make the European dimension of regional youth work more visible and tangible. The accreditation is used deliberately to facilitate access to international mobility projects for partner organisations in Vorarlberg. This approach enables smaller organisations to open up European learning opportunities, while aha Jugendinfo assumes responsibility for coordination, quality assurance, and reporting. By implementing the project, we aimed to ensure that more young people can actively participate in Europe, that youth workers can strengthen their international networks, and that the European core values of diversity, solidarity, and democracy are reinforced in everyday youth work practice.
