Objectives

The LIVE Project (Linguistic Integration for Vibrant Education) was implemented to strengthen multilingual competence and inclusive practices within youth work across Europe. The project responded to identified gaps in language sensitivity, cultural awareness, and inclusive learning environments among youth workers operating in multicultural contexts. The following objectives were successfully achieved: O1 – Inclusive and Multilingual Practices in Youth Work The project delivered a 5-day professional training course for 24 youth workers from Austria, Türkiye, Poland, and Romania. All participants acquired practical tools to support youth with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. A post-training survey indicated significant improvements in participants’ confidence, awareness, and competence in fostering inclusive spaces and working with multilingual youth. O2 – Reframing Language Learning and Identity Through structured reflection sessions, workshops, and peer exchange, the project successfully promoted the inherent language (iLanguage) concept. Participants reported a measurable shift in how they perceived and supported youth language development—recognizing all acquired languages as valid components of personal identity, regardless of fluency or origin. O3 – Development of an Interactive Digital Output A multilingual AI-based Conversational Agent was developed and tested during the project. Led by youth workers with expertise in digital tools and cross-cultural design, the tool provides real-life conversation simulations to help users build linguistic confidence. Evaluation activities confirmed its relevance for youth work settings and its potential for long-term use. Project Outcomes: A multilingual training manual and resources for youth organisations Increased capacity among youth workers to support culturally and linguistically diverse communities A validated digital tool that integrates the principles of linguistic empowerment and inclusive practice The project delivered substantial results in line with Erasmus+ strategic priorities. The outcomes were disseminated through social media channels, webinars, workshops during European Language Day and International Multilingualism Day, and are accessible via the project’s online platform.
