Objectives

The proposed project focused on enhancing the skills and experiences of 21 youth workers (ages 17 to 25) from Children's Universities in Austria, Poland, and Romania. The youth workers participated in a study visit in Innsbruck, Austria, in August 2024, exploring the Children's University summer programme to broaden their professional skills and cultural perspectives. Objectives: 1. The project addresses limited international opportunities for volunteer youth workers in Poland and Romania while aligning with the strategic priorities of the University of Innsbruck for sustainability. 2. The project aims to foster collaboration, skill development, and knowledge sharing among youth workers, intending to transform CU programmes into exemplars of sustainability. 3. The project anticipates improving the quality of partner organisations' work, establishing valuable networks, and influencing future collaborations among the participants. 4. The project results will be a great starting point towards recognition of youth/volunteer work in Romania and Poland. Expected Results/Outputs: Key project outputs include the creation of a concise "green practices" guide for CU programmes and the production of video clips advocating for environmental sustainability. Finally, the project outputs will be integrated into workshops and trainings at CUs in Austria, Poland, and Romania and the video clips disseminated through various channels such as University websites, TikTok etc.
