The ''EmpowerEd: Youth Worker Excellence'' project was created to give youth workers strong knowledge about personal, social, educational, cultural, and business development. This project, supported by the Erasmus+ Programme, brought together youth workers from different areas to share their experiences and create new ideas. Participants worked together on projects that encouraged exchange, teamwork, and training in youth work. One of the main goals was to help them improve their skills in planning and leading volunteering activities. Volunteering was a key part of the project, showing the important role that volunteers play in helping society and the economy, especially in difficult times. These volunteers — often young people who have moved to a new country, neighbors, activists, and socially aware citizens — help solve problems in their communities by giving their time, skills, money, and strong commitment. Therefore, the objectives of the project were the following: - to inform youth workers about educational opportunities and how to access them - to help youth workers understand the power of volunteering and how to promote, implement and engage youth in volunteering action - to provide an opportunity to grow the skills, expand knowledge and bulid connection to a variety of youth workers, especially those with fewer opportunities - to discover alternative ways of youth work and improve the work of their organisations by engaging more young people - to learn how to grow as a youth worker and develop professionally despite the economical and environmental barriers of today - to expand the knowledge of participants about the Erasmus+ Programme and facilitate the creation of new projects at local, national, and international levels that promote responsible behavior and contribute to sustainable and green initiatives - to create results and follow-up events that will impact, educate, and encourage a high number of people to engage in lifelong learning and improve civic engagement Overall, this project supported the ideas of lifelong learning, active citizenship, and human rights. It aimed to reflect these goals by promoting EU values and encouraging active involvement in the field. Through a mix of non-formal learning methods and theoretical lessons, the project created a strong learning environment. In this space, participants were able to develop new ideas and plan future projects. With support from EU development funds, these projects focused on solving important problems in communities and the environment.
