The participation project "REGIONAL POLITICS MEETS YOUTH " aims to enable a low-threshold and uncomplicated dialogue between 15- to 18-year-old young people and politicians of the seven regions in Styria. Young people have the opportunity to engage intensively with their region and to introduce their issues to regional politics - as equal dialogue partner. The focus is set on empowerment and encouragement to articulate one's own needs in politics, expanding one's own level of political knowledge, getting to know each other, reducing a certain distance or inhibitions to politics and finding out what scope and competencies politics has at the regional level and to what extent young people can participate. Similar to the EU youth dialogue, it is about putting the points of view, views and interests of young people at the center of attention and exploring these in dialogue with political representatives.
