Objectives

- Create a Minimal & Functional "Youthwork Toolbox" - Identify, adapt, and share effective youth work methods that small organizations can easily apply in mixed and inclusive settings. - Create a clear, structured, and open Toolbox to help youth workers deliver engaging, low-cost activities across Europe. - Collect real youth work practices in Bulgaria and Czechia (originally planned in Hungary) through participant observation. - Adapt the selected practices into simple, clear, and practical tools. - Test and refine these tools in Austria with mixed youth groups, including NEET participants. - Create and publish a structured Toolbox (Word/PDF & YouTube online) to support youth workers elsewhere. - Strengthen partners’ skills through joint learning and experimentation. - Exchange minimal, innovative methods & experiences between organizations. - Encourage partners to apply and share the adapted tools in their own local contexts.

Background

The consortium applied on the following premise: - Youth organizations may struggle with long manuals, complex methods, and costly materials… That may make youth work difficult to implement… We recognize the need for simple, low-cost tools that any youth worker can use with mixed groups, including NEET. Instead of defining methods in advance, the consortium chose to learn directly from practice—observing youth work in Bulgaria and Czechia, then testing and refining the most effective approaches in Austria. By visiting youth organizations, interviewing staff, young people, and analyzing what worked, we developed short, step-by-step formats. The final goal was to create and publish a minimal and functional Toolbox on a website, enabling other organizations to reuse the methods easily in line with Erasmus+ priorities on quality, innovation, and inclusion.
