Objectives

We aimed to strengthen the capacity of women entrepreneurs to sustain and grow their micro-businesses by providing them with key skills in soft skills, leadership, and digital competences. Another objective was to reduce their isolation by fostering peer exchange and opening up European perspectives. In addition, we sought to improve the capacity of our organisations to support this specific target group by developing adapted tools and training methodologies. Finally, the project aimed to encourage the exchange of practices between partners and to build a sustainable transnational network supporting women’s entrepreneurship.

Background

We applied for this project to respond to a need identified within our networks: the lack of support for women entrepreneurs beyond the start-up phase. While many initiatives exist to support business creation, very few address the critical stage of development and sustainability, particularly after three years of activity. Women leading micro-businesses are often isolated, have limited resources, and lack access to training adapted to their specific needs, especially in soft skills, leadership, and digitalisation. The project therefore aimed to fill this gap by offering an accessible, practical, and tailored training programme, while strengthening peer exchange and the European dimension to sustainably support these entrepreneurs.
