We wanted to strengthen students’ social and professional skills, with a focus on improving social interaction, empathy, active and respectful listening, and effective communication, as well as developing core competencies such as teamwork and critical thinking. In addition, we wanted to fully integrate the international placement as a core component of the programme, with the aim of improving problem-solving skills and enhancing both the personal and professional development of students.
Our organisation offers a basic nursing programme for students (aged 18+) from a variety of educational backgrounds. They often face fewer opportunities and struggle with issues relating to self-confidence and independence. Through this project, we offer international mobility during the final-year placement to strengthen their professional growth, self-confidence and problem-solving skills, and to teach them how to deal with diversity and cultural differences. This aligns Erasmus+ horizons.
