Discovery Trip is a project initiated by a group of young people. Two of them went on an intercultural exchange trip to Senegal in 2019 and returned transformed from this experience. Their ways of approaching the world, of confronting differences, of meeting others were changed. Enriched by this experience, they talked about it around them, which inspired and motivated several people around them. So they contacted Jeune Et Citoyen in order to be supported in their reflections and the implementation of a project. Despite the presence of a core group, the latter was opened to other young people through word of mouth. In the end, ten young people got together and reflected on their desires, needs and objectives of the project. They then chose a country, Reunion Island for its interculturality, and looked for a partner who met their expectations and similar values. The choice fell on Roulé Mon Z'Avirons, who talked about the project around them and gathered ten other young people. From there, the project was worked on in collaboration. The selected objectives were finally: - Discover another culture and another way of life through meeting and immersion; - Experience interculturality through play, meeting, visits... - Broaden their vision of the world and life - Broaden their curiosity about other cultures and religions - Develop technical skills by making a documentary and a collection of writings - Share their experience and what has changed in them by talking about it around them and thanks to the media created.
