Objectives

The project aimed to bring together young people from diverse backgrounds, including youth with disabilities and fewer opportunities, to foster mutual understanding and promote inclusive and environmentally conscious practices. Building on previous collaboration through two youth exchanges centred on inclusion and sustainability, the partner organizations had realized that their respective youth work practices and local contexts were not well known to one another. To address this, this project provided training for staff and close collaborators (e.g. volunteers and youth workers affiliated with the organisations) to develop a shared understanding of inclusion and green practices. This created a solid foundation for future joint initiatives. The project aimed to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of youth work by broadening knowledge on ecological preservation and promoting environmental awareness, while also introducing innovative and inclusive approaches within non-formal learning. Additionally, it placed emphasis on equipping youth workers with the tools and support needed to better respond to the diverse and specific needs of young people. Additionally, the project created opportunities for partners and participants to explore best practices for including young people with disabilities in non-formal learning and international mobility programs. These practices were collected and disseminated across grassroots, national, and European contexts. The main objectives of the project were to explore effective ways of encouraging eco-friendly lifestyles among young people with fewer opportunities, while also deepening understanding of different types of disabilities. It sought to provide participants with the skills to design and implement inclusive projects that respond to the needs of all individuals, as well as to identify existing green practices within the participating countries. Furthermore, the project aimed to open new perspectives on sustainability in the field of youth work, fostering more responsible and inclusive approaches.
