Objectives

Objective 1: Further connect topical/social themes with art/outdoor adventure. Hence opening debate, engaging in dialogue, and increasing mutual understanding. -> We always develop themes and content of our projects in close cooperation with partners and with participation of young people. We strongly believe that debate and dialogue on topics that might be considered sensitive, will contribute to mutual understanding. -> Measuring progress: We evaluate the depth of discussions and the extent to which participants are engaging in meaningful conversations. Gather qualitative post-event feedback from participants in which we gauge peer learning, impact on mutual understanding, perceptions to the themes and sense of belonging. Plan (process) evaluation and impact measurement together with partners. Internal follow-up systems to make sure outcomes are fed into subsequent projects/improvement actions. Objective 2: Embrace diversity in terms of ideas, individuals/groups, disciplines, sectors; Encourage cross-fertilization. -> The centres of ADJ have a broad appeal: (inter)national youth work, educational institutions, socio-cultural associations, for-profit companies, artists... The cross-pollination between these different types of guests arises spontaneously in the common spaces. Differences between people are recognized, valued, respected and considered a strength. In our international projects, young people from different countries meet different ideas/perspectives, cultures and nationalities in an informal context and get to experience how to deal with diversity in society. -> Measuring progress: We gather qualitative post-event feedback from participants about experiences/learnings/changes in perspectives through surveys and interviews. We develop metrics to have a better insight into the diversity amongst individuals/groups. We evaluate multi-annually (end of accreditation / new strategic plan 2027-2030) our progress in terms of manifestation and impact of our efforts in contributing to a more inclusive/understanding environment amongst youngsters and formulate new challenges. Objective 3: Perpetuate and make co-operations more sustainable. -> Within the Quality Label network (CoE), we have found an ideal 'incubator' to set up collaborations. We think we should now be able to go a step further and make the collaborations sustainable/stronger. Together with the network we aim to take more ownership of this movement and become a driving force. We also want to create a platform of competence to bring less experienced organizations/partners on board and facilitate cross-over of our experiences. -> Measurement progress: At the end of the accreditation term we evaluate the structural partnerships we aimed to set up. Plan (process) evaluation and impact measurement with our partners for each project. Operational action plans are systematically monitored and yearly evaluated with feedback to the board. Objective 4: Broaden partnerships/networks, diversifying among partners with more or less international experience -> Active development of networks, partnerships and networking are a necessity to realize other objectives. Besides sustaining partnerships/collaborations, it is equally important to achieve sufficient diversity in our network. This could help us access broader cross-sections of our fields of expertise as well as cross-pollination. -> Measurement progress: We evaluate the evolution/transformation of our networks multi-annually (end of accreditation / new strategic plan 2027-2030) in terms of target audience, international experience, fields of expertise etc. Operational action plans are systematically monitored and yearly evaluated with feedback to the board. Objective 5: Embed peer learning through multilateral collaborations with partners who are experts in areas where we can still improve/develop. -> Through self-evaluation we will identify domains where we can learn from the know-how of other partners. -> Measurement progress: Evaluate the evolution of learning areas at the end of the accreditation term. We evaluate the process/results of specific activities with all stakeholders involved. Objective 6: Organise projects among/with Flemish and European youth work to spread the know-how in which we ourselves have strong expertise and experience. -> We intend to initiate more actions aiming at sharing our experience/expertise, preceded by a self-evaluation of our areas of expertise and check if relevant/useful for youth work locally and internationally. -> Measurement progress: Action plans are systematically monitored and yearly evaluated with feedback to the board. Internal follow-up systems make sure outcomes are fed into subsequent projects/improvement actions. Gather post-event feedback from participants about their experiences, learnings, and knowledge building. We evaluate remaining needs and interests among Flemish/international organizations for knowledge sharing.
