The project aims to bring young people with/without migration backgrounds together and address topics of mental health, mindfulness, resilience, and self-care. In addition, it will create a space for multicultural understanding and integration between them. Outdoor, adventure, and experiential education are efficient methodologies to address mental health-related topics for young people. We are ready to provide space for young people to leave ordinary daily routines behind and experiment and experience the healing power of nature. We will share mindfulness practices and practical ways how to take care of their mental health through nature. Most importantly, at the end of the project, we would like to gather best practices from the project and the experiences of our participants. We would like to together create a digital self-empowerment diary for young people. This will be created for young people suffering from different mental health issues, with/without migration background to motivate and empower themselves to keep up with this life. This way, we can reach out to people beyond the project and be more sustainable. Therefore the project objectives are: -To promote mental health awareness and mindfulness practices in young people with/without migration background through outdoor educational activities implemented in nature -To Enhance and strengthen young people to improve resilience & healthy coping skills related to mental health issues by involving them in experimental and adventure educational activities -To Encourage young people to build a safe space, create multicultural understanding, intercultural dialogue and strengthen relationships -To support participants to create creative empowerment digital diary for young people -To promote Erasmus+ and ESC opportunities in young people with fewer opportunities From the objectives of the youth exchanges, the project covers the following objectives: -Foster intercultural dialogue and learning and feeling of being European; -Develop skills and attitudes of young people; -Strengthen European values and breaking down prejudices and stereotypes; -Raise awareness about socially relevant topics and thus stimulate engagement in society and active participation. More specifically we would like to explain in more detail how we are going to apply to these objectives. Young people will be involved in non-formal educational activities where they can learn and explore mental health, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, effective tools, and methods on how to take care of our minds and health through nature. These activities will help young people better understand themselves and the world around them. They will also provide them with the necessary skills to cope with stress and other mental health issues. Furthermore, these activities will allow young people to be more connected to nature, which positively impacts mental health. At the same time, participants will experience various experimental and adventure-based educational activities, which will open up opportunities for informal learning for them. The group tasks that young people receive during the sessions promote cooperation and inclusion among them. They will be challenged to communicate with each other, share their ideas, and discuss. This fosters teamwork, respect for different perspectives, and open-mindedness. It also helps build trust between participants, which is essential for working together to solve problems. The project will bring together young people from very different countries and cultures and give them a chance to live together, explore and learn together, find solutions to socially active topics, and create something beneficial for others at the end of the project. This project will give participants the opportunity to gain a better understanding of different cultures and learn to collaborate with people from a variety of backgrounds. The project will break the prejudices existing among different cultures, and religions and builds a bridge for young people. The project will help young people to realize that no matter where we are coming from, our mind and body, our emotions are often facing very similar challenges. The project will promote social engagement among participants. They will be encouraged to use their skills, knowledge, and creativity to create an empowerment diary for young people. Afterward, they will actively promote the diary to young people with/ migration backgrounds to explain how they can use and benefit from it. At the same time, they will become aware that sometimes not all young people have information about youth opportunities. The project will encourage them to introduce Erasmus+ and ESC opportunities to young people who have fewer opportunities.
