Objectives

By implementing the project under Erasmus+ accreditation, we aimed to address the objectives that we had set in the long run. Those objectives are: - Empowering youth workers through fostering innovative and inclusive youth work practices - Promoting healthy and green habits among young people in Bulgaria and beyond - Strengthen international cooperation between youth organisations in the EU and partner countries. During this year, we implemented two mobilities: the mobility of young people, Youth Exchange “Sustainovation, and the mobility of youth workers - training course “Play2Empower”. Youth Exchange “Sustainovation” aimed to equip young people, including those with fewer opportunities, with competencies to live and act more sustainably. With this mobility, we promoted improvement of young people’s green behaviour on a daily basis - such as adopting eco-friendly practices, making informed consumption choices, and engaging in community initiatives that promote environmental protection. The main objective of the training course “Play2Empower” was to strengthen youth workers' capacities and competencies by introducing them to innovative youth work with gamification-based approaches. The activity provided them with practical tools and digital resources that they can integrate into their local activities and work in the youth field. Another important aim was to create a peer-learning network where participants could exchange good practices and develop follow-up actions together. Besides teaching how to use the gamification tools, they tested one digital gamification tool as participants - Gamifyouthwork.org, that was new experience for the youth workers that will be useful for them to use it in their daily work too. Besides all, both mobilities boosted participants' intercultural understanding, teamwork skills and active citizenship through non-formal learning methods that were used during the activity and cultural evenings. Across both activities, we reached our objectives: 1. To promote innovative youth work by empowering youth workers through sharing methods, digital tools and gamified approaches to make youth work more engaging and impactful. 2. To improve the green and healthy habits of young people and youth workers, raise awareness of personal environmental impact and promote a sustainable lifestyles through various methods. 3. To create a network of youth workers and organisations working with youth sharing similar values, develop sustainable partnerships and joint initiatives. At the end, the participants left both mobilities better equipped, which helped them to take action in their communities and inspire others, too. We can confidently say that outcomes of the project had a ripple effect - the learning outcomes and tools gained during the mobilities played a multiplier role locally and contributed to long-term impact in line with the Erasmus+ program priorities and the EU Youth Strategy - Youth Goals.
