Objectives

The main objective of implementing the activities during 2024/2025 was to promote the personal, professional, and social development of young people and youth workers through targeted methods of non-formal education. We aimed to create an environment where participants could acquire key competences that support their future career development, self-confidence, and active citizenship. Through learning, collaboration, and the practical application of digital tools, the projects helped participants to unlock their potential, develop critical thinking, and adapt to the new realities of the digital era. Activity 1: Youth Exchange “Step Forward!” The youth exchange “Step Forward!” took place from 8 to 14 January 2025 in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. The project aimed to support young people in developing their social and communication skills, leadership abilities, and capacity for teamwork. It brought together participants from Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, and North Macedonia in a dynamic learning environment focused on self-awareness and personal growth. The sessions combined interactive exercises, group discussions, and simulations that encouraged initiative and self-confidence among participants. An important component of the exchange was the focus on career development through the integration of artificial intelligence. Participants used platforms such as Google Gemini, LinkedIn, and Canva to improve their CVs and present their personal achievements more effectively. The project fostered critical thinking and digital literacy, empowering young people to plan their professional paths with creativity and confidence. Activity 2: Youth Exchange “Step Forward!” – Second Group The project “Step Forward!” youth exchange took place from 15 to 21 January 2025 in Stara Zagora and further expanded the objectives set in the first activity. Through diverse non-formal education methods – role plays, public speaking exercises, and interactive workshops – participants developed their ability to work in teams, express opinions, and lead group initiatives. The project encouraged responsibility, empathy, and intercultural dialogue among young people from four different countries. A special focus was placed on preparing for future career development through the use of artificial intelligence and digital tools. Practical workshops using Google Gemini, Canva, and LinkedIn helped participants create modern and visually appealing CVs and professional profiles. The project combined personal growth with technological innovation, preparing young people for active participation in both the labour market and civic life. Activity 3: Training Course “Write It Down” The training course “Write It Down” was held from 11 to 19 March 2025 in Stara Zagora, gathering youth workers and trainers from different European countries with the aim of strengthening their capacity to design and manage Erasmus+ projects. The main goal of the course was to provide participants with practical knowledge covering the entire project cycle – from needs analysis and goal formulation to structuring activities, budgeting, and developing logical frameworks. During the course, participants explored and used modern AI-based tools such as InVideo AI, Sora AI, and Google Veo 2 to create visual and video content for presenting their project ideas. The training enhanced their digital competences, improved their communication skills, and fostered international cooperation. “Write It Down” empowered youth workers to become more confident, innovative, and strategically oriented when planning future initiatives. Activity 4: Training Course “Do It Yourself!” The training course “Do It Yourself!” took place from 11 to 19 March 2025 in Stara Zagora and provided a practical space for developing facilitation skills, understanding group dynamics, and applying methods of non-formal education. Its main objective was to support youth workers in building confidence, creativity, and adaptability when leading educational processes. Through the use of theatrical simulations and improvisation techniques, participants experimented with various approaches to group management and responding to challenges in real time. The course encouraged collective learning, peer support, and experience sharing within a safe and inclusive environment. “Do It Yourself!” contributed to the development of flexible and confident facilitators capable of applying their new skills in their local communities, creating lasting impact in youth work. In summary, the overall goal of the projects implemented during 2024/2025 was to provide young people and youth workers with a combination of practical skills, digital literacy, and social awareness. Through engaging and innovative non-formal learning methods, we aimed to support their personal and professional growth, promote inclusion, and build a foundation for active participation in civic and European life.
