Environment and climate change

Objectives

Circular Economy Awareness: Our primary objective is to educate young participants about the fundamental concepts of the circular economy and its significance in addressing climate change. We want to instill a deep understanding of how circular practises, such as sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing, and recycling, can extend the lifecycle of materials and products while minimising waste generation. Environmental Awareness: We seek to raise environmental awareness among participants, emphasising the importance of their individual choices and actions. Through our project, we aim to cultivate a genuine interest in environmental concerns, encouraging responsible and sustainable behaviour. 4R Principle and Zero-Waste Policies: Our project aims to equip participants with knowledge about the 4R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recover) and zero-waste policies. We want them to understand how these practises can significantly contribute to improving the environmental situation and reducing their carbon footprint. Digital Literacy: An essential objective is to enhance participants' digital literacy skills, empowering them to use digital tools effectively. We aim to educate them on how their actions and choices can impact the environment, emphasising the role of technology in addressing climate change. Promotion of Erasmus+ and Youth Engagement: We aspire to promote the Erasmus+ program and encourage youth engagement in volunteering activities. By participating in our project, young individuals will not only gain valuable knowledge but also become more active in volunteer initiatives. Cross-Cultural Sensitivity: We intend to enhance cross-cultural sensitivity among participants, fostering a greater awareness of EU values. This will contribute to a more inclusive and cooperative approach to addressing global challenges. In summary, our project seeks to empower young people aged 19-25 from Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Hungary, Turkey, and Lithuania by imparting knowledge about the circular economy, environmental awareness, and digital literacy and promoting active engagement in addressing climate change. Through these objectives, we aim to equip the youth with the tools and understanding needed to make meaningful contributions to combating climate change and promoting sustainability.
