The main goal of Beyond Violence was to promote healing, empowerment, and awareness through education. Specifically, the project aimed to: Develop innovative educational materials and communication tools for adult educators and survivors. Strengthen educators’ capacities to work with trauma-affected individuals using non-violent communication and empowerment methods. Support women survivors in regaining confidence and social participation. Raise public awareness and foster community engagement in preventing gender-based violence.
The Beyond Violence project was initiated to respond to the growing need for inclusive, practical, and survivor-centred approaches to preventing and addressing domestic and gender-based violence. Many educators and community workers lacked specific training to support survivors in safe and empowering ways. The project partners – Foundation Solidarity Works (Bulgaria), Lazzarelle Cooperativa Sociale a r.l. (Italy), and Asociacija EduLActiva (Lithuania) – joined forces to develop accessible tools and methods to strengthen communication, empathy, and social reintegration for women who have experienced violence.
