Objectives

The project aimed to strengthen entrepreneurship, employability, and digital readiness within the Cultural and Creative Industries sector through practical learning resources for professionals, learners, and small organisations. It sought to connect creativity with business sustainability and help participants turn ideas into viable opportunities. It also aimed to improve vocational education and training through accessible content focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, management, and digital competences, while addressing challenges such as limited business knowledge and the need for digital adaptation. Another objective was to strengthen cooperation between partner organisations from different European countries and combine their expertise. The project planned to deliver an eHandbook, a digital learning platform, eight training modules, pilot workshops in all partner countries, and lasting access to the results after completion.

Background

We applied for the EntreCC project in response to clearly identified needs within the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) sectors in our respective regions. The CCI sector, while dynamic and full of potential, faces significant challenges such as digital transformation, market fragmentation, lack of business skills among creative professionals, and limited opportunities for internationalization and sustainable growth. Through our local and transnational observations, we noted that: (1)Many CCI professionals and micro-businesses lack essential entrepreneurial and management competencies. (2)VET providers are struggling to adapt curricula to the evolving needs of the CCI sector. (3)There is insufficient integration of digital tools and platforms in CCI-related education and training. (3)Creative practitioners often operate in isolation without structured support for collaboration, learning, or international exposure. Our goal with EntreCC is to bridge these gaps by fostering innovation in VET, improving digital readiness, and equipping CCI professionals with essential business and internationalization skills.
