Objectives

The primary aim of the project "Walls Down, Art Up!" was to address discrimination through art and intercultural dialogue, empowering young people to become active agents of change in their communities. This was achieved by fostering empathy, intercultural understanding, and social inclusion through creative expression and collaboration. The objectives of the project were: Raising Awareness: Highlighting various forms of discrimination, such as racial, gender-based, religious, and socioeconomic discrimination. Empowering Youth: Equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to use art as a tool for advocating against discrimination and promoting social inclusion. Fostering Intercultural Understanding: Encouraging dialogue and collaboration among participants from diverse backgrounds. Creating Impactful Art: Producing art that conveys messages of unity, inclusivity, and anti-discrimination, serving as a powerful advocacy tool. Personal Growth and Community Building: Promoting empathy, resilience, and solidarity among participants, nurturing a sense of unity and belonging. Inspiring Youth-Led Initiatives: Encouraging participants to initiate their own projects to combat discrimination and promote inclusivity. These objectives align with the broader goals of promoting inclusivity, cultural exchange, and social justice through the transformative power of art and youth-led initiatives.
