Objectives

The objectives of the Art4Earth project were: Empower young people through environmental education — fostering awareness of sustainable living, circular economy principles, and the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Promote sustainable practices and reduce waste — encouraging participants to adopt and advocate for eco-friendly habits by practicing the 4Rs (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose) before recycling. Use art as a tool for environmental advocacy — conducting hands-on upcycling art workshops to help participants develop artistic skills, creatively express themselves, and convey environmental messages. Encourage youth leadership and active citizenship — empowering young participants to initiate and implement youth-led projects that contribute to sustainability and social inclusion in their communities beyond the project’s duration. Foster intercultural dialogue and global citizenship — facilitating cross-cultural activities among participants from six countries to build mutual understanding, tolerance, and a sense of belonging to a diverse European community. Raise awareness of European youth opportunities — informing participants about Erasmus+, Eurodesk, and other EU programs, equipping them with knowledge about personal and professional development opportunities. Promote inclusivity and prevent radicalization — ensuring participation of young people facing fewer opportunities (economic, social, geographical, or cultural obstacles), creating a diverse and supportive environment, and fostering European values of solidarity, respect, and democracy. Ultimately, the project sought to nurture environmentally conscious, creative, and socially engaged young leaders who would act as catalysts for positive change in their communities and across Europe.
