Our educational institution considers it important the practical dimension of education in its teaching, particularly the ability to use the acquired knowledge and skills in practical life. Recently, supporting the mental well-being of our students has become an important topic. The period following the COVID crisis demonstrated that the isolation of deaf and other disadvantaged individuals during that time had a significant negative impact on their psyche. With our project, Welbeeing, we wanted to support them, show them new possibilities, and mobilize their activity. We also aimed to contribute to greater independence, healthy self-confidence in everyday life, and when seeking new opportunities. Many of our students come from challenging and unstimulating environments. Through this project, we sought to help them acquire new skills that they can build upon themselves, utilize in further studies or professional life, and enable them to gain a more comprehensive perspective on life and the world they will navigate. In achieving these goals, we also utilized IT tools and focused on developing the participants' computer literacy. We showed them new ways to use these tools while simultaneously drawing attention to potential dangers. During the mobility, we worked with all available communication channels: English, sign language, international sign language, and the national languages of the participants. We supported the building of communication, cooperation, and contact with the outside world. Another goal of the project was to utilize the experience of our foreign partners through collaboration with them, information sharing, and the transfer of pedagogical methods and procedures. We anticipate that all of this will have a positive impact on teaching in the home organizations and will enrich other students, not just those who directly participated in the mobility.
